The Core Grouping System (CGS) is the software developed by 3M that will let you group your clinical registers into different versions of Diagnosis Related Groups, as well as a group of operations to transform your care registers into a critical source of knowledge for decision making.
Basic features of the product
Executable in a Windows environment
It incorporates code mapping operations between different versions of the International Classification of Diseases (ICD- 9-CM)
It allows you to batch process your registers, with a fixed or flexible file structure.
It allows you to easily use different grouping versions in the same file.
Generates basic statistics for the analysis of your registers: relative weights, duration of stay, extreme values.
The CGS has a wide range of groupers (and their versions) available:
- HCFA/CMS Grouper, versions 9.0, 13.0, 16.0 ,18.0, 20.0 and 22.0
- AP Grouper, versions 10.0, 12.0, 14.1, 18.0 and 21.0
- IR Grouper, versions 1.2 and 2.0
Information processing options
Information processing by batch, with a fixed file structure, sends back the CDM, DRG, the return codes of the grouper (errors of the assigned DRG), as well as indicators of influence in the grouping and validation of the code (to see if the code is valid or not, and if it influences the DRG assignment).
The input and output file is grouped by batch (batch mode), with predefined and fixed register formats, being able to process up to 30 diagnostic codes and 30 procedures by patient register It also includes the mapping of diagnostic and procedure codes, as well as batch processing from the command line.
It can also import statistics files by DRG, externally created by the user him/herself. It also incorporates a structure editor which takes into account the input and output format of the file defined by the user, thus allowing structure customisation to be adapted to the needs of each client.
There is no limit to the number of diagnostic and procedure codes to process, and the user can define as many structures as required.
Who is it aimed at?
To staff responsible for coding or internal operation of the information from the Minimum Basic Data Set (MBDS) based on Diagnosis Related Groups (DRG).
Welcome Guest.
