Dr. Maria Soler Cera joined Iasist in 2005 as a Senior consultant and Project Manager. Before that she worked as a Scientific Research Coordinator in Primary Care and Care Director in the Institut Català de la Salut.

With a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the Barcelona Autonomous University in 1993, she also has a Masters in Epidemiology and public health (1999) and a doctorate from the Barcelona Autonomous University (2000).

Dr. Soler has led numerous research projects in different Catalan and European universities whilst working on the Masters and Postgraduate programmes in different institutions related to Public Health and Quality. She has also participated in different research grants, articles and publications in national and international health sector journals.
