Carles Illa works as the Business Development Director, after more than eight years linked to a large number of consultancy projects in IASIST, which he joined in 1999. Before his career at IASIST, Carles worked as assistant to the Financial Director at the Hospital Universitari Arnau de Vilanova, in Lleida.

Carles Illa has an Executive MBA from IESE (2007) and a Masters in Public Administration from Universidad Pompeu Fabra, ESADE and Barcelona Autonomous University (1999). In the latter school he also took his degree in Economics (1998).

Over the years, Carles has focussed on projects related to health planning and evaluating care providers from the perspective of purchasing services. In this time, he has also participated in different projects related to private insurance markets and the pharmaceutical industry.
